Black Business Initiative (BBI)

General Information

The BBI offices including the Training Department and ADEPA Construction Management Inc. are located at Suite 1201(Lower Penthouse) of the Centennial Building on 1660 Hollis Street, Halifax, NS B3J 1V7. (See Map).

Hours of Operation: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. Closed weekends and public holidays.

Map of BBI Regions

As a province wide initiative BBI covers Nova Scotia through four regional areas each having an assigned Regional Business Development Manager. Each Manager visits their region at least once a month meeting with clients and community groups. The regional breakdown and the communities represented are as follows:

North
Includes Pictou County, Guysborough County, Antigonish County, New Glasgow, Truro and all of Cape Breton.

South
Includes Kings County, Lunenburg County, Queens County, Shelburne County, Yarmouth, County, Digby County, Annapolis County, Kentville, and Wolfville.

Metro
Includes Halifax, Dartmouth, Cherrybrook, Beechville, Hammonds Plains/Lucasville, Prestons, and Sackville.

Central
Includes Cumberland County, Colchester County, and Hants County.
